CNC Machining and Small Part Run Specialists

Many companies are looking for a machine shop willing to take on small runs or prototype work. Alloy Fabricators recently extended opportunities for CNC machining work with an 8,000 square-foot-expansion and new equipment. The company places an emphasis on customers with specialty work and small to mid-size runs.

As a job shop, the Lodi-Ohio-based company has supplied precision machined parts for a variety of industries from the automotive aftermarket to display manufacturers or food grade components for food processing machinery.

When developing a new part, clients often turn to Alloy Fabricators for its engineering expertise before the welding and fabrication phases. The staff can aid with projects from concept through designs, drawings, material selection and production of a prototype. Alloy Fabricators offers guidance to help ensure the project, material types and grades and physical fit and function all align to produce a working plastic or metal part that suits client needs and specifications. “The process of creating a prototype is valuable but can be extremely frustrating. Our goal in this is to help the customer succeed and shorten that process when possible by consulting with the client to create a working part that meets tolerances and performance parameters,” said Jason Drerup, design engineer. “We can recommend alternative materials or offer design options to create the part or prototype so the customer can test their concept to determine its viability.”

Alloy Fabricators will work with both plastics and metal grades. Walk-ins are encouraged to explore CNC machining options.

The new Haas CNC machines Alloy Fabricators added to its business expansion include:

  • VF-2SS is a high-performance Super-Speed vertical machining center that offers quick tool changes for reduced cycle times.
  • VF-4 Series vertical mill offers four-axis capabilities with high-speed spindles, to produce an excellent finish in a shorter run time.
  • The ST-30Y lathe has a live Y-axis tooling and a bar feeder, for milling, drilling and tapping, featuring rigidity and high thermal stability for greater precision and accuracy regardless of run size.
